Join us this Saturday 10/24 at 9am for the Santa Barbara Out of the Darkness Experience which will be offered virtually. SBCC Student Health and Wellness has a started a team (Team Hope) for students and our community to gather virtually and bring awareness to the importance of Suicide Prevention.
On that day, we will gather online at 9:00am for Opening Ceremonies, hosted by DJ Nash from ABC’s A Million Little Things. We also have other celebrity guest appearances, as well as some amazing speakers from our own communities.
While we are physically distant, we will be socially connected- and we can, and will STILL save lives! After the opening ceremonies- you can participate in a real walk, but on your terms: you get to choose your own course, what time you start, and who joins you (within safe distancing guidelines)! The event is real—it's the community that's virtual this year.
To register, please visit www.afsp.org/socal click on the Santa Barbara walk and you can join “Team Hope” which represents our students and SB Community.
