Welcome to a hybrid workshop to learn the basics about polyamorous and nontraditional relationships! Participants will receive an introduction to key terms and relationship structures within polyamorous relationships. Facilitators will also provide general advise in navigating the complexities of polyamory. Please join us for an engaging presentation, a raffle, and free food for all in person attendees! Raffle items will include gift cards, games, books and workbooks on polyamory, and SWAG!
This workshop will take place in a hybrid format. Students are welcome to join the live stream in person at The WELL (ECC 21) or to engage in this workshop via ZOOM. Lunch will be provided for all IN PERSON attendees!

This workshop will be co-facilitated by Executive Director for the Pacific Center, Lasara Firefox Allen and Community Outreach and Education Coordinator at Pacific Pride Gabrielle Felder. Lasara is dedicated to serving the LGBTQ2-SIA+ community, of which they and their family are part. Lasara comes from a grassroots background, and earned their MSW at Cal Poly Humboldt (formerly known as Humboldt State University). They have over thirty years' experience in political organizing and group facilitation, over fifteen years’ experience coaching clients in both one-on-one and group capacities, and over four years experience in nonprofit leadership. Lasara is an author, an educator, and an activist. They work from a harm reduction, intersectional, feminist, and anti-oppressive framework, and live into a trauma-informed, resilience focused, compassionate, strengths-based methodology. They are honored to serve as the Executive Director for the Pacific Center, and to assist the staff in bringing quality mental health services to the community. Lasara's personal mission statement is, "toward our collective liberation."
Gabrielle Felder (she/they) Community Outreach and Education Coordinator will also co-facilitate the Polyamory 101 Workshop. Originally from Orange County, California, Gabrielle completed her undergraduate education at University of California, Santa Barbara. She graduated in 2018 with honors, receiving two degrees: Ecology and Evolution, B.S. and Biological Anthropology, B.A. In June 2020, Gabrielle graduated from University of Washington School of Public Health with a Master’s in Environmental and Occupational Health. Currently, Gabrielle works as the Community Education and Outreach Manager at Pacific Pride Foundation in Santa Barbara, CA. Her previous work experience include prevention education and youth advocacy, DEI consulting, and community program development. When she’s not working, Gabrielle enjoys watching reality TV and anime, eating sushi, and going to the beach with her dog and her partner.
